In Frame Kitchen – Customer Case Study

The history and character of our clients new home drew them in. However, the existing kitchen, once used by servants, presented a challenge: it was disconnected from the main living and dining areas, making the space feel dark and isolated. Despite its charm, the kitchen didn’t take full advantage of the breath-taking views at the rear of the property.

The Vision 

Our client had a clear vision for their dream kitchen. They wanted a bright, open, and functional space that seamlessly connected to the dining area, maximising both the natural light and the view. 

Key features on their wish list included:

• A large central island for food preparation and socialising

• An additional electric oven to complement the existing AGA

• A wine fridge and a dedicated breakfast cupboard

• Light-coloured door fronts, flooring, and worktops paired with elegant silver accessories

• A Quooker tap for instant boiling water

The Transformation

The design process focused on creating a space that balanced modern functionality with the home’s historical charm. The old, enclosed kitchen layout was reimagined to flow seamlessly into the dining area, flooding the space with natural light and showcasing the beautiful views.

We selected light-coloured cabinetry and quartz worktops to enhance the sense of brightness and space. The large island became the centre piece, offering generous workspace and seating for casual meals or entertaining guests. The additional electric oven, wine fridge, and custom breakfast cupboard ensured the kitchen met every practical need.
